Emergency Plumbing Service

The most useful thing you can do before we arrive is find your main shutoff. It limits almost everything that follows.

Quick answer

For a plumbing emergency in Salinas, shut off the water at the main valve first, then call. Active leaks, burst pipes, sewage backups, and total loss of water all qualify for priority dispatch. We quote the callout fee before we leave and the repair price before we start.

An emergency is water you cannot stop, no water at all, or sewage coming back into the house. Those get priority scheduling. A slow drip or a running toilet is genuinely worth booking normally, and we will tell you honestly which category you are in when you call.

Our approach on price is simple: you hear the callout fee on the phone before we drive out, and you hear the repair price on site before any work starts. Nothing gets discovered on the invoice.

One boundary worth stating. If you smell gas, that is not a plumbing call first — leave the building and call 911 or PG&E from outside. We handle gas piping repairs afterwards, but the emergency response is theirs.

What drives the number

We quote after diagnosis, not before. These move the number most on this service:

  • ACCESSExposed pipe versus concealed in a wall, ceiling, or slab.
  • HOURAfter-hours and weekend dispatch, quoted before we come out.
  • SCOPEOne fitting versus a section of failed pipe.
  • SHUTOFFWhether a working shutoff exists, or one has to be added first.

Salinas note

A lot of older East Salinas housing has original shutoff valves that no longer close. If yours will not turn, mention it when you call — we will bring what is needed to replace it, and knowing in advance saves a return trip during an emergency.

FAQ

Questions about this service

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Water you cannot stop, no water at all, or sewage backing up. A drip, a running toilet, or one slow drain can usually wait for a normal appointment. If you are not sure, call and describe it — we will tell you honestly rather than upselling an emergency visit.

Do you charge more after hours?

Yes, after-hours and weekend calls carry a dispatch fee on top of the repair. We tell you that amount on the phone before you commit, not when we hand you the invoice.

What should I do while I wait?

Shut off the water at the main if you can safely reach it and open a low faucet to drain the pressure. Move valuables clear. If water is near electrical outlets or a panel, stay away from it and tell us when we arrive.

I smell gas. Should I call you?

Not first. Leave the building, do not touch light switches, and call 911 or PG&E from outside. They respond to suspected gas leaks and make the site safe. Call us afterwards for the repair.

Ready to get this looked at?

Call and describe what's happening. You'll get an honest read before anyone drives out.
